A bicycle & a beginning
His grandmother made pickles. His grandfather sold them by the spoon. His father carried the family’s food from home to home on a bicycle.
By Mitesh ZaveriGujarati favourites, signature recipes and a lifelong love for good food. Welcome to Falguni on Sindhu Bhavan Road.

વારસો પરિવાર પાસેથી મળ્યો.
એને આજની ઓળખ મિતેશ ઝવેરીએ આપી.
When his father suffered paralysis, Miteshbhai left his studies and took charge of the family’s snack lari. What followed was a lifetime of work, sacrifice and a determination to build something lasting.
From a basement shop in Vastrapur to Sindhu Bhavan Road, he developed recipes, worked alongside his team and earned customers’ trust. His signature flavoured khakhra recipes gave a familiar Gujarati snack a new appeal.

“What if it came ready
to enjoy?”
One night, feeling hungry, Miteshbhai spread ghee and masala over a khakhra. Then came a simple thought: why couldn’t everyone enjoy it already prepared?
That moment inspired him to develop his signature flavoured khakhra recipes. Methiya-Masala was followed by experiments with flavours such as lemon chilli and Manchurian, giving a Gujarati staple a new appeal for the next generation.
Behind these signature recipes is Mitesh Zaveri: experimenting, tasting, refining and teaching his team himself.

His grandmother made pickles. His grandfather sold them by the spoon. His father carried the family’s food from home to home on a bicycle.
The Paldi lari was named Falguni in 1985. When his father suffered paralysis, Miteshbhai left his studies to take responsibility for the business.
After difficulties with the lari, he took a basement shop he could afford. Even a flood and soaked furniture wood couldn’t stop him from opening.
His recipes, personal involvement and customers’ trust grew into Falguni by Mitesh Zaveri on Sindhu Bhavan Road.
Miteshbhai still keeps a work shirt at the factory. When hands are short, he puts it on and gets to work. He develops recipes, trains chefs and stays close to the food that carries his name.
“મારા ઘરે ચોથી ગાડી આવે એના કરતાં મારી સાથે જોડાયેલા ચાર લોકોના ઘરે પહેલી ગાડી આવે, એ મારા માટે વધારે અગત્યનું છે.”
